Position Summary:

The Chargeback Analyst is responsible for reviewing and processing membership to ensure accurate contract eligibility. This role involves daily processing of chargebacks to guarantee timely and precise credit issuance to wholesalers. Additionally, the analyst will conduct weekly reconciliations of processed chargebacks between RMS and SAP (General Ledger). The individual will also be responsible for resolving claim disputes through clear communication and correspondence, both internally and externally. This position requires close collaboration with various departments, especially Accounts Receivable, to manage credit and debit applications within SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for validating and processing original and resubmitted chargeback claims received via EDI and mail from customers.
  • Resolve chargeback errors in RMS/SAP submitted by customers. Analyse and validate chargeback discrepancies at the line level and process the claims accordingly.
  • Maintain and manage GPO membership rosters to ensure eligibility.
  • Ensure that customer disputes are addressed and resolved promptly.
  • Review open customer deductions, follow up to clear these deductions, and communicate with customers regarding any issues in claims processing.
  • Generate and distribute periodic chargeback status reports to management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary audit data to ensure compliance with the audit plan and address any findings.
  • Work closely with the GTN accounting team for month-end chargeback accruals, and reconcile chargebacks processed in RMS with those recorded in the General Ledger.

Education:

  • MBA or equivalent work experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry.               

Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in commercial finance
  • Chargeback analysis and basic accounting skills
  • Hands on of RMS and SAP

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel, including the use of complex functions and formulas, as well as experience handling large data files.
  • Capable of working independently while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Candidates should uphold high ethical standards.
  • Must be able to understand, read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the adaptability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels, including senior management and external customers.
