Position Summary

The Expired Sales Return specialist is essential in handling product returns due to expiration, with a focus on the financial impact within Gross-to-Net (GTN) calculations. This role ensures precise return processing, contributes to GTN forecasting accuracy, and works closely with finance, trade, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance and minimize revenue leakage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process expired product returns from wholesalers, pharmacies, and healthcare providers in alignment with contractual terms and company policies.
  • Validate return eligibility based on product expiration, lot numbers, and trade agreements.
  • Track and reconcile return credits in SAP systems to ensure accurate GTN deductions.
  • Support GTN forecasting and accruals by providing timely and accurate return data to finance teams.
  • Analyse return trends and provide insights to reduce future expired inventory exposure.
  • Dispute Management: Ensure successful dispute management for wrong dispute by the customer.

 

Education:

 MBA or equivalent work experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry.

 

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical returns, GTN processing, or trade operations.
  • Strong understanding of GTN components (returns, chargebacks, rebates, accruals).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and GTN analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with reverse distribution practices.

 

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience working with reverse logistics providers (e.g., Inmar, Return Solutions).
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for GTN analysis.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing and contracting models.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with Finance, Trade, and Regulatory teams.
