Position Summary:

The RTR Lead is responsible for overseeing end-to-end Record to Report operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial reporting. The role involves managing month-end closing, financial reconciliations, audit coordination, and driving process improvements. The RTR Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Operations to ensure integrity of financial statements and adherence to organizational policies and accounting standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end RTR processes including GL accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Drive the month-end and year-end closing calendar, ensuring all deliverables are met within prescribed timelines.
  • Supervise the fixed asset accounting process including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
  • Review and analyze trial balances and variance reports; provide insights on key movements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely completion of statutory and internal audits.
  • Collaborate with AP, AR, Tax, and Treasury teams to ensure smooth flow of accounting data.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Support management reporting, MIS, and other analytical requirements as needed.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to the RTR team and support in resolving complex accounting issues.

 

Education:

  • Chartered Accountant or equally qualified
  • MBA Finance

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience RTR & Financial Reporting for CA or equally qualified or 9+ years of experience if MBA finance.
  • Strong exposure to month-end close, financial consolidation, and audit coordination.
  • Experience working in a shared services / corporate accounting setup preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP will is mandatory.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Sound understanding of US & UK local GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively and be a cross-functional team player.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams.
  • Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to quality in financial reporting.
